LinguaRank AI is built for WordPress site owners running Polylang who need to create translated versions of posts, pages, and other supported post types without retyping content by hand.
An administrator picks a source item, selects the target languages, and starts a translation job; the plugin then creates a separate item for each language and links it to the original through Polylang. It works from within the WordPress admin area only, leaving front-end language switching and language relationships to Polylang itself.
Translation requests are handled through WordPress AI Client, which draws on whichever provider is configured under WordPress Settings > Connectors, commonly OpenAI or Google Gemini. LinguaRank AI can also send requests directly to DeepSeek or OpenRouter as optional backups, or to a self-hosted OpenAI-compatible endpoint such as Ollama.
Whichever route is used, the site owner needs an account and, where applicable, an API key with that provider, since LinguaRank AI does not run its own translation service. Progress and results appear directly in the post or page editor and in the LinguaRank AI dashboard.

Key Features of LinguaRank AI
Polylang-linked translations. Each translated item is created as a proper Polylang counterpart of the source, keeping language relationships intact. Any language already configured in Polylang can serve as the source, regardless of which languages are involved.
Gutenberg and Elementor support. The plugin translates post titles, excerpts, and text inside Gutenberg blocks, as well as Elementor pages, standard and third-party widgets, repeaters, nested containers, Atomic widgets, and referenced saved templates. Large pages are automatically split into batches, processed in sequence, and validated before being saved as one completed translation.
ACF field translation. When Advanced Custom Fields is active, LinguaRank AI translates reader-facing values in text, textarea, WYSIWYG, repeater, group, flexible content, and link label fields. Field references, row order, layouts, URLs, media IDs, and relationship data are left untouched.
SEO metadata handling. URL slugs and recognized SEO titles, descriptions, keywords, and social fields can be translated, with support for Yoast SEO and common fields used by Rank Math, AIOSEO, SEOPress, and UAS SEO. Unsupported technical values, IDs, and layout settings are left unchanged.
WooCommerce product text. With WooCommerce support enabled, the plugin translates product text, purchase notes, custom attributes, and variation descriptions, and maps translated taxonomy attributes where Polylang provides them. Product images are reused rather than duplicated, and SKUs stay untouched.
Glossary and translation memory. A structured, language-aware glossary lets an administrator enforce required translations and protect names, abbreviations, legal terms, and project-specific wording, with CSV import and export. Translation memory reduces repeated work on recurring text fragments, and exact-preservation rules can be defined for terms that must never be translated.
Bulk and large-site handling. The dashboard loads source items in paginated, searchable batches so sites with hundreds or thousands of posts do not need to load everything at once. Bulk translations run sequentially, and background jobs use a shared lock and cooldown to avoid firing too many provider requests at once.
Edit protection and review tools. Manually edited translations are automatically fingerprinted and locked so they cannot be overwritten by a later AI run without explicit approval. Review statuses, reviewer assignments, quality checks, and a Clear Translations action for removing generated content without touching the source round out the review workflow.

Good to Know About LinguaRank AI
The plugin requires Polylang to be installed and configured, since it supplies the languages and translation relationships LinguaRank AI relies on; it does not function without it. It also depends on a configured AI connection, whether through WordPress AI Client, a direct DeepSeek or OpenRouter key, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
For sites with many posts, the documentation notes that WP-Cron should be enabled or triggered by a real server cron job for reliable unattended bulk processing. Direct provider keys are stored in the WordPress database, excluded from settings exports and diagnostics, and encrypted when OpenSSL is available, while OpenAI and Google keys stay under WordPress Settings > Connectors rather than being stored by the plugin.
