Beplus Site Assistant places a floating chat widget on a WordPress site so visitors can ask questions in plain language and receive answers grounded in the site’s actual content and structure.

How to Install Beplus Site Assistant
Step 1: Install the plugin. From the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for Beplus Site Assistant, click Install Now, then Activate.
Step 2: Open Site Assistant. Go to Site Assistant in the admin menu to access the plugin’s settings page.
Step 3: Connect an AI provider. Install an AI provider plugin such as one for OpenAI, Anthropic or Google, and add its API key under Settings > Connectors so Beplus Site Assistant can use it automatically.
Step 4: Or use a custom endpoint. Instead of a connector, switch to Custom endpoint mode and enter an OpenAI-compatible endpoint URL, API key and model name.
Step 5: Index the site and go live. Click Re-scan site to build the content index, then open the chat widget on the front end to start answering visitor questions.
Good to Know About Beplus Site Assistant
The developer notes that the plugin keeps all data in the site’s own database, including the content index, conversations and lead information, since the plugin runs no external server of its own.
According to the documentation, only the visitor’s question, relevant content excerpts and a short structure summary are sent to the configured AI provider; API keys, visitor IP addresses and contact details are never included. Conversations stay separate between visitors.
Each AI provider applies its own data retention and training policy, so site owners should review the chosen provider’s terms, or use a self-hosted model through Custom endpoint mode to keep data from leaving the site entirely.
