VividCart

Updated 2 min read

VividCart adds an AI photo studio to the WooCommerce product editor, letting store owners generate new product images or restage existing photos into styled scenes without leaving the product edit screen. It suits WooCommerce merchants who want polished catalog images without hiring a photographer or learning separate image-editing software.

The plugin works with your own OpenAI or Google Gemini API key rather than a bundled credit system, so image generation is billed directly by the provider you choose.

Inside WordPress, you connect and test your key on the VividCart AI settings page, then generate or edit images from a dedicated AI Studio box that appears below the product editor, with results saved to the Media Library and applied to the product with one click.

Key Features of VividCart

Generate images from the product editor. VividCart builds prompts automatically using the product name and category, so new product images can be created without writing prompts from scratch.

Edit existing product photos. Real product shots can be restaged or given new backgrounds through AI reference-image editing, letting store owners refresh photos they already have.

Fourteen scene presets. Choices such as Studio White, Marble Counter, Outdoor, Flat-lay, and Luxury Dark give a starting point for the setting of a generated image, alongside a custom option for other scenes.

One-click apply without overwriting originals. Generated images are saved as new Media Library attachments and can be applied as the main product image or gallery image, while the original photos remain untouched.

Brand style notes and automatic alt text. Style notes can be appended to every prompt to keep a consistent look across the catalog, and generated images receive SEO alt text automatically.

Generation history and multiple AI models. A history of recent generations allows quick re-application of earlier results, and the plugin works with OpenAI image models and Google Gemini image models, with new Gemini models discovered automatically from the connected account.

How to Install VividCart

Step 1: Install and activate. From the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for VividCart, then click Install Now followed by Activate. WooCommerce must already be active on the site.

Step 2: Open VividCart AI settings. Go to VividCart AI in the admin menu to reach the plugin’s settings page.

Step 3: Connect an API key. Paste a Google Gemini API key, an OpenAI API key, or both, then click Test to confirm the connection works.

Step 4: Generate images on a product. Open any product and find the VividCart AI Studio box below the product editor, choose a scene, click Generate, and apply the result as the product or gallery image.

Good to Know About VividCart

According to the plugin’s documentation, image generation is billed by the connected AI provider rather than by VividCart itself, and Google’s image models require a billing-enabled Gemini account since the free tier does not support image generation. The developer notes that API keys are stored encrypted in the site’s own database and are only transmitted to the provider selected by the site owner, over HTTPS.

The plugin operates at the WooCommerce product and gallery data level, so it works regardless of the active theme or page builder, and every generated image is saved as a separate Media Library attachment rather than replacing existing photos.
