DraftCraft is an AI drafting assistant for WordPress that helps bloggers, content teams, and agencies produce structured, SEO-ready blog post drafts.
Rather than replacing a writer, it is meant to take care of the first draft, including headings and structure, so the site owner can focus on editing, adding expertise, and giving the post a personal voice before it goes live.
To generate text, DraftCraft connects to OpenRouter using an API key supplied by the site owner, and lets them pick from models such as Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Llama.
Drafts are created from the WordPress admin area based on chosen categories and a writing style prompt, and are saved as regular post drafts for review in the block editor or the Classic editor before anything is published.

Key Features of DraftCraft
Draft-first workflow with editor assistant. New posts are saved as drafts by default, so nothing publishes automatically unless the site owner chooses to allow it. A built-in AI assistant in the post editor can refine, expand, or rewrite any section before publishing.
Custom writing style prompt. Site owners describe their brand voice, target audience, tone, and topic-specific instructions through a system prompt. This helps keep generated drafts closer to how the site normally sounds.
SEO plugin sync and schema. DraftCraft can fill in the focus keyword, SEO title, and meta description for Rank Math, Yoast SEO, and All in One SEO. It also generates FAQ sections with structured FAQPage data and builds a table of contents from heading tags.
Internal linking and term descriptions. The plugin suggests and inserts links to related posts already on the site using keyword and semantic matching. It can also generate SEO-friendly descriptions for categories and tags directly from the term editor.
Scheduling and keyword queue. Drafts can be generated on a recurring schedule, such as hourly, daily, or weekly, through WordPress’s cron system, or produced on demand with a one-click generation button. A keyword spreadsheet can also be imported to plan topics and target dates in advance, with drafts rotated across chosen categories.
Featured image generation. Featured images can be created using OpenRouter image models or pulled from Unsplash as stock photos. A visual style description helps keep images consistent with the rest of the site.

Good to Know About DraftCraft
According to the plugin’s documentation, DraftCraft requires a personal OpenRouter API key for text generation, and an Unsplash key only if that image source is chosen; no account with the developer, ArtisansWP, is needed. The developer notes that prompts, settings, and related content are sent directly to OpenRouter, and to Unsplash when used, without passing through ArtisansWP servers.
API keys are stored in the WordPress database and masked on admin screens. The plugin follows standard WordPress security practices, including capability checks, nonce verification, input sanitization, and output escaping, and works with both the block editor and the Classic editor.
