VidFlow AI

Updated 3 min read

VidFlow AI brings AI video generation into the WordPress dashboard for site owners who want to create and publish clips without leaving their site.

It works with supported video providers directly, so you keep control of your own provider account rather than relying on a third-party relay. This suits editors, bloggers, and marketers who want generated video content tied straight into their posts and Media Library.

Instead of hosting its own AI service, VidFlow AI sends requests from your WordPress site to the provider you choose, using credentials you supply. Supported providers include Kling AI and Hailuo AI / MiniMax, each requiring its own API key from that provider’s account; any usage or credits are billed by the provider, not by the plugin.

Generated videos are created and tracked through a Create Video page or a Gutenberg sidebar, then appear in a dedicated Video Library inside WordPress for preview, embedding, downloading, or publishing.

Key Features of VidFlow AI

Text-to-video and frame-based generation. Create videos from text prompts, with supported workflows for specifying start and end frames to guide the result. This gives more control over how a generated clip begins and ends.

Multiple provider models. Generate using Kling models or current Hailuo / MiniMax models from the same WordPress interface. Switching between supported providers does not require leaving the dashboard.

Video Library management. Every generated video lands in a library with titles, filters, previews, and thumbnails, so you can find and review past generations. The library also supports retrying failed jobs, downloading files, and deleting clips with a confirmation step.

Gutenberg block and shortcode embeds. Insert completed videos into posts or pages using a dedicated Gutenberg block or a shortcode. Editors with post-editing permissions can embed shared completed videos without needing administrator access.

Background status polling. Generation requests are tracked in the background using Action Scheduler where available, falling back to WP-Cron otherwise. This means you can leave the page while a video renders and check back once it finishes.

YouTube publishing. Connect a YouTube channel through Google OAuth and queue completed videos for upload, with support for publishing defaults, upload history, retries, and links to published videos. Optional local Media Library storage can also keep protected copies of videos alongside the provider-hosted originals.

How to Install VidFlow AI

Step 1: Install the plugin. From the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for VidFlow AI, then click Install Now followed by Activate.

Step 2: Add provider credentials. Open VidFlow AI > Settings and enter the API key for a supported provider such as Kling AI or Hailuo AI / MiniMax.

Step 3: Set up optional connections. If wanted, connect a YouTube account through Google OAuth for publishing, and enable local Media Library storage for protected copies of generated videos.

Step 4: Generate a video. Use the Create Video page or the Gutenberg sidebar to submit a prompt, choose a model, and optionally supply start or end frames.

Step 5: Manage and publish results. Once a generation finishes, open the Video Library to preview, download, embed in content with the block or shortcode, or publish it to YouTube.

Good to Know About VidFlow AI

According to the plugin’s documentation, generated videos remain hosted on the chosen provider’s servers by default, and local Media Library storage is strictly optional. Saved provider credentials and YouTube OAuth tokens are stored encrypted within WordPress, though site owners are responsible for securing administrator access, backups, and encryption keys.

Background processing relies on Action Scheduler when present, with WP-Cron as a fallback, so dependable site cron affects how quickly generation and uploads complete. A working account with a supported video provider, and a YouTube account for publishing, is required for those respective features to function.
