How to Install IsnSEO
Step 1: Install the plugin. From the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for IsnSEO, then click Install Now.
Step 2: Activate IsnSEO. Once installed, click Activate on the Plugins screen to enable the plugin.
Step 3: Add your Gemini API key. Open the IsnSEO menu item in the WordPress sidebar and enter the Gemini API key generated from Google AI Studio.
Step 4: Review the settings tabs. Check the API, Sitemap, AEO, and User Manual tabs to configure sitemap behavior and answer engine options before running AI actions.
Step 5: Run AI actions on content. Open a post or page editor and use the IsnSEO sub-tabs to generate metadata, fix alt text, suggest keywords, or audit content, reviewing results before saving.
Good to Know About IsnSEO
According to the plugin’s documentation, IsnSEO works with Gemini API models, including several Gemini generations as well as generative media and audio capabilities. The developer notes that a personal Gemini API key generated through Google AI Studio is required to use the plugin, since no functionality runs without it.
Content is only transmitted to Google’s API when a site owner manually triggers an AI action inside the editor, and nothing is sent to the plugin developer or any other outside party.
