SellOnLLM is a WordPress plugin built for site owners who want to understand and improve how their content performs in AI-driven search.
As more people turn to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews for recommendations instead of traditional search results, this plugin helps audit a site’s readiness for those answer engines, generate content aimed at being cited by them, and track whether that visibility is actually happening. It suits SEO and AEO specialists, content teams, ecommerce and SaaS sites, and agencies running AI search readiness checks for clients.
The plugin works on a bring-your-own-key basis: site owners connect their own OpenAI and Perplexity accounts, and there is no separate subscription through the plugin itself. OpenAI powers the content generation tools and can serve as a fallback for suggesting prompts, while Perplexity is used to check whether a domain gets cited in AI answers.
Requests go directly from the WordPress server to those providers, who may charge for their own usage, and results appear inside dedicated SellOnLLM screens in the WordPress dashboard, including metaboxes on posts and pages for generated content.

Key Features of SellOnLLM
AEO and SEO audit. Runs a site-wide or single-page audit covering technical and content scores, checking things like HTTPS, robots.txt rules for AI crawlers such as GPTBot and ClaudeBot, XML sitemaps, llms.txt, structured data, meta titles and descriptions, and internal linking. One-click quick fixes can publish llms.txt, adjust robots.txt to allow major AI crawlers, and add missing Open Graph, Twitter Card, or JSON-LD markup.
AI readability check. Compares what a no-JavaScript AI crawler sees against the content actually published on a page, helping identify sections hidden behind JavaScript that AI systems like ChatGPT might otherwise miss.
ChatGPT-assisted content creation. Uses an OpenAI key to draft AEO- and SEO-oriented meta titles, meta descriptions, and body content, available both as a standalone admin page and as a metabox on individual posts and pages. Generated meta descriptions apply directly to Yoast SEO or Rank Math fields when installed, with the excerpt updated as a fallback.
AI visibility monitoring. Checks whether Perplexity cites a site’s domain for buyer-intent prompts relevant to its business, with prompts and competitors auto-suggested from the site’s own content. Results include a visibility score, share of voice against competitors, prompt-level breakdowns, historical tracking, and CSV export.
AI referral traffic analytics. Optionally measures first-party traffic arriving from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and similar platforms. Tracking stays off until an administrator enables it, and any data collected is stored only in the site’s own WordPress database rather than sent elsewhere.

Good to Know About SellOnLLM
According to the plugin’s documentation, no SellOnLLM account or billing is required since it runs entirely on keys supplied by the site owner for OpenAI and Perplexity, with requests going directly from the site to those providers.
The developer notes that AI referral tracking stays disabled until an administrator turns it on, and that it should only be enabled where the site’s privacy policy and cookie consent cover this kind of tracking; no raw IP addresses are stored. Uninstalling the plugin removes its stored options, encrypted API keys, custom database tables, and the rewrite rule used to serve llms.txt.
