ArunAI

Updated 2 min read

ArunAI – Auto News Poster takes articles from RSS feeds and turns them into original blog post drafts, saving news sites, blogs, and content creators the manual work of rewriting trending stories.

It pulls in headlines and summaries from configured feeds, then hands them to an AI service to produce fresh wording rather than copied text, with every result landing as a draft for review before anything goes live.

The plugin works with OpenAI’s GPT models, Anthropic’s Claude, or any custom endpoint compatible with the OpenAI API, such as self-hosted or third-party model servers. Site owners supply their own API key from the chosen provider, which the plugin stores in encrypted form.

Generated articles appear in the WordPress Posts list as drafts, and when OpenAI is selected as the provider, a featured image created with DALL-E 3 can be attached automatically.

Key Features of ArunAI

Choice of AI provider. Content can be generated using OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint, giving site owners flexibility over which service handles the rewriting.

Scheduled or manual generation. Posts can be created on demand in batches, or automatically on a recurring schedule such as hourly, every six hours, twice daily, or daily using WordPress’s built-in cron system.

RSS feed management. Feeds can be added, removed, or tested directly from the settings page, with built-in defaults from BBC, CNN, and Reuters available as a starting point and fetched results cached temporarily to reduce repeat requests.

Draft-first review workflow. Every generated article is saved as a draft rather than published automatically, even when scheduled runs are active, so the site owner always reviews and edits content before it goes live.

Duplicate article skipping. The plugin keeps track of articles it has already processed and silently skips any source URL that has been posted before, avoiding repeated content from the same feed items.

Customizable tone and length. Generated posts can be tailored by tone, approximate word count, and assigned WordPress category, allowing output to match a site’s existing editorial style.

How to Install ArunAI

Step 1: Install the plugin. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for ArunAI – Auto News Poster, then click Install Now followed by Activate.

Step 2: Open the settings page. Go to Settings > RSS AI Post Generator to configure the plugin.

Step 3: Connect an AI provider. Select OpenAI, Anthropic, or a custom endpoint as the provider, then enter the matching API key.

Step 4: Set up RSS feeds. Add feed URLs from preferred news sources or keep the built-in BBC, CNN, and Reuters defaults.

Step 5: Generate and review posts. Click Generate 5 Posts to create draft articles manually, or configure a schedule in Settings > Automation for the plugin to run on its own, then review and publish the resulting drafts.

Good to Know About ArunAI

According to the plugin’s documentation, an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or a compatible custom provider is required, since no AI credits are bundled with the plugin. Stored keys are encrypted using a key derived from the site’s own WordPress salt and are never shown again after saving.

The developer notes that automatic scheduling relies on WP-Cron, which needs incoming site traffic to trigger; low-traffic sites may need a system-level cron call to wp-cron.php instead. Security measures mentioned include nonce checks, capability checks, prepared database queries, and output escaping throughout the plugin.
