ReplyMind

Updated 3 min read

ReplyMind brings AI-generated replies to the WordPress comment workflow, letting site owners and multi-author blogs respond to readers without leaving the dashboard.

Replies are posted under the actual post author’s name and avatar rather than a generic site account, so responses read as personal rather than automated. It suits sites with heavy comment traffic, WooCommerce stores handling product reviews, and multisite networks looking to standardize how comments get handled.

The plugin does not connect to any AI provider on its own. Instead it relies on WordPress core’s built-in AI Client, so replies are generated through whichever provider is configured under Settings > Connectors, commonly OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini, using an API key supplied there.

ReplyMind sends the comment text and post context to that connector and displays the resulting draft or published reply directly in the Comments list, where editors can review, edit, or approve it before anything goes live.

Key Features of ReplyMind

Suggestion and Auto Reply modes. Suggestion Mode drafts a reply for review and one-click publishing, while Auto Reply Mode posts replies as soon as a comment is approved, suiting sites with high comment volume.

Tone, length, and language controls. Replies can be generated in several tones such as professional, friendly, or empathetic, in short, medium, or detailed lengths, and in a chosen language or auto-detected from the comment, with a custom system prompt available to match a brand’s voice.

Reply rules and sentiment detection. Configurable rules can skip spam, flag complaints, override tone for praise, or add prompt instructions before a reply is generated, while local keyword-based sentiment scoring can flag, skip, or switch negative comments to a softer tone without calling an external service.

Email approval and scheduling. In Suggestion Mode, post authors can receive a one-click approve or reject email link for each draft, and Auto Reply Mode can delay replies by a set number of hours so they appear less instantaneous.

Batch processing and analytics. Existing comments can be processed in bulk with a progress bar, pending drafts can be published together, and a local analytics dashboard tracks reply volume, sentiment breakdown, and errors over time.

WooCommerce and multisite support. Product reviews can receive AI replies using product name, description, and rating as context, and network admins on multisite installs can view activity across sites and push settings to every site at once.

How to Install ReplyMind

Step 1: Install and activate. From the dashboard go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for ReplyMind, click Install Now, then Activate.

Step 2: Connect an AI provider. Go to Settings > Connectors and configure OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google with an API key; this setup is shared by every AI-aware plugin on the site.

Step 3: Choose a provider and model in ReplyMind. Open the ReplyMind menu in the admin sidebar, select the preferred provider and model, enable the plugin, and save.

Step 4: Generate replies. Visit Comments, where each approved comment now shows a Generate AI Reply action for creating a draft or automatic response.

Step 5: Explore rules and analytics. Use ReplyMind > Reply Rules to set conditions and actions, and check ReplyMind > Analytics to review reply activity and sentiment trends.

Good to Know About ReplyMind

According to the plugin’s documentation, ReplyMind requires WordPress’s built-in AI Client and does not contact OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google directly; the provider is instead configured once under Settings > Connectors and shared across AI-aware plugins. Sites without this AI Client support will see an error explaining how to enable it.

The developer notes that comment text and post context are sent only to the provider selected by the site owner, nothing is stored by the plugin developer, and a developer filter is available to exclude specific comments from being sent for processing.
