Kriti AI

Updated 3 min read

Kriti AI brings AI content generation directly into the WordPress dashboard, letting site owners create posts, pages, products and custom post type entries from a single interface. It suits bloggers, publishers, content teams, agencies, WooCommerce store owners and developers who want to build AI-generated material without switching between separate tools and their website.

The plugin works by connecting to AI providers chosen and configured by the site administrator, including OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Ollama and locally run LLMs, depending on whether text, image, audio or video output is needed. Using these providers requires an account and API key from that provider, since prompts and generation requests are sent to the selected service for processing.

A built-in Mock provider is also available so the workflow can be tested without entering any real API key. Results appear inside WordPress as draft posts or as draft entries in the Media Library, ready for review before anything is published.

Key Features of Kriti AI

Multiple AI providers in one place. Kriti AI supports connecting several text, image, audio and video providers, including OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Ollama and local LLMs, alongside a Mock provider for testing. Each provider can be enabled or disabled and configured separately from the dashboard.

Content generation for any post type. Prompts can be used to generate content for posts, pages, products and other custom post types. This lets a site owner produce publish-ready drafts for the exact content type their site relies on.

Reusable custom prompts. A prompt library stores prompts as a custom post type, supporting dynamic variables such as site name or post title so the same prompt can be reused across different items. This reduces the need to rewrite similar instructions for repeated content workflows.

Fine-tuned generation controls. The generator screen offers settings such as model choice, temperature, max tokens, voice, speed, stability, resolution, aspect ratio and quality. These controls let a site owner adjust how each provider produces its output.

AI-generated media handling. Generated images, audio and video are stored in the uploads folder as draft media items and can be reviewed in an AI Media list before being published to the Media Library. This keeps generated files organized alongside the content they belong to.

Draft-first publishing workflow. Every generated item, whether a text post or a media file, is created in draft status and only becomes visible after the site owner chooses to publish it. Finished items can be published from the queue, the AI Media list or the post editor.

Background processing for longer jobs. A queue powered by WP-Cron handles generation requests in the background, automatically checking on longer video jobs until the provider finishes processing them. This avoids tying up the browser while waiting for results.

Generation history and metrics. A metrics dashboard tracks requests, success and failure rates, token usage, estimated cost, average generation time and a breakdown by provider, along with draft versus published counts. This gives a site owner visibility into how AI generation is being used across the site.

How to Install Kriti AI

Step 1: Install the plugin. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for Kriti AI, then click Install Now followed by Activate.

Step 2: Configure providers. Open the new Kriti AI menu and go to Settings to enable the providers you want to use and enter their API keys, or start with the built-in Mock provider to try the workflow first.

Step 3: Build or load a prompt. Go to Generate, write a new prompt or load one saved in the prompt library, then adjust settings such as model and temperature to suit the content you want.

Step 4: Generate and monitor the job. Click Generate and track progress in the Queue screen, where longer jobs such as video are checked automatically until they finish.

Step 5: Review and publish. Once generation completes, review the draft post or media file and publish it from the queue, the AI Media list or the post editor.

Good to Know About Kriti AI

The developer notes that generated posts are created in draft status, while generated images, audio and video are added to the Media Library as attachments carrying a draft or published state, so nothing appears publicly until reviewed and published.

Video generation runs asynchronously and is checked periodically through WP-Cron, so sites without external cron configured should confirm WP-Cron is active or set up a real cron job to avoid jobs staying in a processing state. API keys are stored in the options table by default, though they can instead be defined as constants in wp-config.php, which will override any stored values. Administrative actions are restricted to users with manage_options capability.
