These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of getfreeplugins.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Site
The Site is operated by Micro Entreprise 820557254, 200 RUE de la Croix Nivert 75015 Paris FRANCE (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at whatsup@getfreeplugins.com.
The Site is a free directory that presents and explains free WordPress plugins available on the official WordPress.org repository, with a focus on plugins offering AI features. Using the Site is free and does not require an account.
2. Independence
The Site is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WordPress.org, the WordPress Foundation, Automattic or the developers of the plugins it presents, unless explicitly stated on a specific page.
WordPress is a registered trademark of the WordPress Foundation. Plugin names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used on the Site for identification purposes only.
3. How our content is produced
Plugin pages are created from public information published on WordPress.org, such as plugin descriptions, version numbers, installation counts and ratings. The text of each page is generated with the help of artificial intelligence, then checked by automated quality controls and, where needed, by human review.
We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete, correct or current at all times. Plugins change often: features may be added, removed or moved to a paid version after a page is published. Always check the plugin’s official page on WordPress.org before installing it.
Plugin pages describe what each plugin offers for free. They are informational and do not constitute professional, technical or legal advice.
4. Plugins are provided by third parties
We do not develop, host, distribute or support the plugins presented on the Site. Plugins are downloaded from WordPress.org or from their developers’ websites, under their own licenses and terms.
You are solely responsible for choosing, installing, configuring and using any plugin. Before installing a plugin on a live website, we strongly recommend that you:
- back up your website;
- test the plugin on a staging or test site first;
- check its compatibility with your WordPress version, PHP version, theme and other plugins;
- read the terms and privacy policy of any external service the plugin connects to, including AI providers.
Some plugins require an API key from an AI provider, which may charge you for usage. Any such costs are your responsibility and are set by that provider, not by us.
5. Chat assistant
The Site may offer an AI chat assistant to help you find plugins. Its answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Use them as a starting point, and verify important information on the plugin’s official page.
When using the chat assistant, you agree not to submit sensitive personal information, illegal content, or content that is abusive, misleading or intended to manipulate or disrupt the assistant. How chat messages are stored and processed is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- copy, scrape or republish substantial parts of the Site’s content, manually or by automated means, without our written permission;
- overload, attack or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its server or related systems;
- use the Site to distribute malware, spam or any unlawful content;
- misrepresent your identity or your connection with us.
We may block access to the Site for anyone who breaches these rules.
7. Intellectual property
The Site’s structure, design, original texts and selection of plugins are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to us, except for third-party content and trademarks.
You may quote short excerpts of our pages, provided you credit getfreeplugins.com and link to the original page. Any other reproduction requires our prior written permission.
8. Links to other websites
The Site contains links to WordPress.org, plugin developers’ websites and other third-party sites. We do not control these websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available without interruption or free of errors.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damage resulting from the use of the Site or of any plugin presented on it, including data loss, website malfunction, security incidents, loss of revenue or costs charged by third-party services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your rights as a consumer.
10. For plugin developers
If you develop a plugin presented on the Site and believe its page contains an error, or if you would like it removed, contact us at whatsup@getfreeplugins.com. We will review your request and correct or remove the page where appropriate.
11. Changes to the Site and these Terms
We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Site at any time, including adding or removing plugin pages. We may also update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [[COUNTRY]]. If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it amicably. Failing that, the competent courts will be determined by applicable law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
