Atsens AI Agents Traffic Analytics

Updated 4 min read

Atsens AI Agents Traffic Analytics is a measurement plugin for WooCommerce store owners who want to know how AI crawlers and chat platforms already interact with their site.

It logs visits from known AI bots, tracks referrals arriving from chat platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok, Poe, You, and DeepSeek, and shows whether those referrals turn into orders. It does not submit a store catalog to any chatbot and does not add a chat checkout; it simply reports on activity that is already happening.

Most of the plugin runs entirely on the store’s own server, with no external calls involved in tracking bots, referrals, or generating the dashboard and readiness audit.

The one optional exception is the Niche Probe tool, which sends a handful of store-generated shopper prompts to either the OpenAI or Perplexity chat API, using an API key the store owner supplies and pays for through their own account with that provider. Results from bot tracking, referral tracking, and the probe all appear inside the WordPress admin, under a dedicated AI Agent Traffic menu.

Key Features of Atsens AI Agents Traffic Analytics

AI bot crawl detection. The plugin recognizes crawlers such as GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot, Bytespider, Google-Extended, and Amazonbot, and classifies each visit as a search citation, an on-request fetch, or a training crawl. It also records which pages and product categories each bot visited.

Chat platform referral tracking. Visits arriving from chat platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok, Poe, You, and DeepSeek are recorded through referer and utm_source data and remembered in a first-party cookie for thirty days.

Order attribution for chat referrals. When a visitor referred from a chat platform completes an order, the order is stamped with the chat source and visit date, and an Agent source column appears on the WooCommerce orders list. This works with both classic order storage and High-Performance Order Storage.

Thirty-day traffic dashboard. A simple, script-free overview summarizes top bots by category, the most-crawled URLs, referral counts by platform, and orders attributed to chat referrals over the past thirty days.

Store readiness audit. The Readiness page scores the store from zero to one hundred by checking robots.txt rules for AI bots, product structured data and meta robots tags, catalog description quality, shipping and returns pages, and the presence of an llms.txt file. Each incomplete check produces a specific fix suggestion, and the score is cached for a day before it can be refreshed.

Niche Probe against AI providers. The Probe page builds shopper-style prompts from a store’s own top categories and best-selling products and sends them to OpenAI or Perplexity using the store owner’s own API key, then reports whether the response mentions the store or its products. The last twenty results are kept so progress can be tracked over time, and the probe only runs when manually triggered.

Configurable tracking and retention. Individual trackers can be switched on or off, and the data-retention window can be adjusted between thirty and three hundred sixty-five days, giving store owners control over how much history is kept.

How to Install Atsens AI Agents Traffic Analytics

Step 1: Install the plugin. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for Atsens AI Agents Traffic Analytics, click Install Now, then Activate.

Step 2: Open the traffic dashboard. Visit the new AI Agent Traffic menu in wp-admin; the thirty-day dashboard begins recording automatically as bots and chat referrals arrive.

Step 3: Run the readiness audit. Open the Readiness page and run the audit to get a zero to one hundred score along with a list of specific fixes.

Step 4: Set up the Niche Probe. Optionally, open the Probe page, enter an OpenAI or Perplexity API key, and click Run probe to see whether generated shopper prompts return your store.

Step 5: Adjust tracking settings. Optionally, open Settings to enable or disable individual trackers or to change the data-retention window.

Step 6: Check order attribution. With WooCommerce active, check the Agent source column on the WooCommerce orders list after the first order referred by a chat platform.

Good to Know About Atsens AI Agents Traffic Analytics

The developer notes that all tracking data is stored locally in two custom database tables plus a small set of options, with nothing transmitted to outside servers except during a manually triggered probe. Raw IP addresses are never recorded; a salted one-way hash is used instead to prevent duplicate counts.

According to the documentation, bot and referral tracking work on any WordPress site, while the readiness audit and order attribution require WooCommerce to be active. Logged-in users, admin pages, and AJAX or REST requests are excluded from tracking, and the plugin adds no JavaScript to the storefront. Store owners may still need to disclose the first-party cookie in their cookie policy depending on their jurisdiction.
